Anatomical model of a human hair in high magnification

This unique hair model from SOMSO Modelle is enlarged 4000 times and produced in special transparent plastic. SOMSO Models stand for the market's highest quality with an attention to detail and craftsmanship in a special class.

The anatomical formation of the hair is shown in a medial and horizontal section and designed according to electron microscopic images. The structure of the hair can be seen right from the layers of the cuticle, the cortex with lipids to the medulla. A complete cortex cell and cuticle cell can be seen and disassembled. The model can thus be divided into 3 parts.

The model weighs 2.7 kg and measures 26 cm in length, 33 cm in width and a height of 46 cm.
