This model of a female pelvis makes it easy to understand and explain the musculature of the pelvic floor. Including the two hip sockets and the sacrum, the model can be divided into 12 parts. The musculature can be taken apart layer by layer, thereby clarifying the location and function of the muscles.
- M. obturatorius internus (right and left)
- M. piriformis (right and left)
- M. coccygeus (right and left)
- Diaphragm pelvis (M. levator ani consisting of M. puborectalis, M. pubococcygeus and M. iliococcygeus)
- Urogenital diaphragm (consisting of M. transversus perinei profundus, M. transversus perinei superficialis and M. ischiocavernosus)
- Sphincter muscle (consisting of M. sphincter ani externus, M. sphincter urethrae and M. bulbospongiosus)
The model is ideal for teaching pelvic floor exercises, birth preparation, rehabilitation and general anatomy.
