If you are looking for a comprehensive collection of fetal models from different periods of pregnancy at an attractive price, this set is ideal.

The set consists of 8 fetuses from the 4th week of pregnancy to the 6th month of pregnancy. At once it shows both the wonderful development of the fetus and clinically important details such as different fetal positions. Read more about this below. The models vary in size. The smallest measures approx

10.7 x 16.5 x 10.7 cm, and the largest measures approximately 21.6 x 22.6 x 13.2 cm.

The 8 fetal models are delivered on separate stands, of which the fetuses in the 4th, 5th and 7th month of pregnancy can be taken from each of their stands (see the pictures on the left).

Anatomical features

Anatomically and embryologically, the models show 8 fetuses in the associated uterus. As they show the development from the 4th week of pregnancy to the 6th month of pregnancy, the set includes both fetuses in the embryonic period and the fetal period. Many details can be seen, such as:

The umbilical cord (with illustration of the umbilical vein and the 2 umbilical arteries)
Placenta (placenta), both the outer and inner side (maternal and fetal side)
Chorion (amniotic membrane) and amnion (amniotic membrane/amniotic membrane)
Ovary (ovary), tuba uterina (fallopian tube), uterus (womb) and vagina (vagina)

Among the models, both the normal posterior head position and incorrect fetal positions in the form of transverse and lower body position are seen. Furthermore, one of the models shows twins.

Clinical features

Clinically speaking, the models are ideal for understanding incorrect fetal positions and for gaining an insight into how twins lie in the womb.

Overall, the fetal models can be used, for example, in connection with birth preparation and to understand other complications such as placenta previa and placental abruption (abruptio placenta).
