Classic skeleton poster which also illustrates ligaments in English

This popular skeleton poster was designed by Peter Bachin in 1947 and is still one of the most used skeleton posters. The poster shows the following:

The poster is printed in the USA and measures 20 x 26 inches, which is approximately 51 x 66 cm.

• The entire male skeleton seen from the front, back and side
• A comparison of the female and male pelvis using a dotted outline
• Teeth and cartilage in the chest and at many joints
• Ligaments at joints

• A small illustration of the general structure of the bone
• A small illustration of the small bones of the middle ear
• 2 small illustrations of the knee and associated ligaments (viewed from the front and back)
• 2 small illustrations of the ligaments of the hand (in a dorsal and palmar perspective)
• 2 small illustrations of the ligaments of the foot (in a dorsal and plantar perspective)
• Some muscles such as the transversus abdominis and the rib muscles

Note that the poster comes in different materials.

Hard plastic with ring holes - means an approx. 2 mm thick plastic on which the motifs are printed. This variant cannot be rolled, but instead hangs nicely on the wall without undulating. There are two ring holes in the top for hanging. The dimensions are 51x66 cm.

3D relief plastic print with a ring hole - is a thinner plastic on which the motifs are printed. Next, the plastic is shaped so that differences in depth appear on the motifs. Eg. all the subjects are lifted from the white background and superficial muscles are lifted more than deeper ones. The poster cannot be rolled up and hangs neatly on the wall. There is a central ring hole in the top for hanging. The dimensions are 45x68.5 cm.

2nd edition thin lamination with ring holes - This version was published in 2023 and includes minor changes to the colors of the motifs and the font of the title. The poster is thinly laminated on both sides (without border) and can therefore be rolled up easily. The poster often has to be rolled in the opposite direction to hang flat on the wall. There are ring holes in the top for hanging. The dimensions are 51x66 cm.
