Flexible hand model with elastic ligaments

Anatomically, the model shows part of the radius (the coil bone), part of the ulna (the elbow bone) and the entire hand (manus). The model also shows many ligaments, which belong to the many joints of the hand. Furthermore, the model shows the retinaculum flexorum and the membrana interossea antebrachii.

In terms of movement, the joint model is flexible because the ligaments are elastic. The model can thus be used to demonstrate movements in the joints - especially in the wrist (see the pictures on the left).

Clinically speaking, this model is ideal for understanding the mobility of the hand and especially the wrist. The model is also ideal for understanding dislocations (joint slips) and ligament lesions. In addition, the model can also be used to understand fractures and other things.
