Flexible shoulder model with muscles and ligaments - can be separated into 5 parts
Are you looking for a shoulder model that is both flexible and shows the shoulder's most important muscles and ligaments? If so, we would highly recommend this one. It is also popular with our customers.
The model weighs a good 0.9 kg and the dimensions are 18 x 18 x 24 cm. The muscles are colored in red, which is the dominant color of the model. Red color is effective in attracting attention, which increases the educational purpose of the model. Supplied on a white stand.
Anatomical features
Anatomical features
Anatomically speaking, the shoulder model shows part of the humerus, shoulder blade and clavicle - therefore also the shoulder joint and the acromioclavicular joint. The model also shows ligaments and the 4 muscles of the rotator cuff (also called the rotator cuff):
m. subscapularis, m. supraspinatus, m. infraspinatus and m. teres minor.
Furthermore, the model shows cartilage-covered joint surfaces in light blue, color markings for other muscles in the region (in red and darker blue) and the long biceps tendon from m. biceps brachii.
Product flexibility
Product flexibility
In terms of movement, the articulated model is flexible and can be separated into 5 parts. The above-mentioned muscles can thus be detached, after which the humerus can be moved freely to demonstrate movements such as abduction and rotation.
Clinical features
Clinical features
Clinically, the model is ideal for understanding impingement syndrome, rotator cuff injury and biceps tendinitis. It can also be used to understand disorders such as frozen shoulder, osteoarthritis (wear and tear) in the acromioclavicular joint and shoulder instability. It can of course also be used to understand fractures, dislocations and sprains.
