Anatomically, the model shows the right kidney in a longitudinal section and the beginning of the ureter. Anatomical structures such as the bark, the medulla in the form of pyramids and the entire renal pelvis are visible. The beginning of the ureter is also seen.
Kidney stones are a term that includes stones in the kidney, the renal pelvis (renal pelvis) and the ureter (ureters). On the model, kidney stones can be seen in various places - e.g. in the cortex of the kidney and in the renal pelvis (see the pictures on the left).
Types of stone in these regions include uric acid stones and infectious stones. On the model's stand you can see 4 original color images of different types of stone with measurements in mm.
