If you are looking for a complete model of an arm that gives an overview of the muscles in relation to the course of the larger vessels and nerves, this model is ideal.

The model is made in natural size, and the dimensions are 74 x 20 x 12.5 cm. It is delivered on a removable stand and can be separated into 7 parts.

All significant structures are numbered and named in the accompanying overview.

Anatomical features

Anatomically speaking, you are presented with the skeletal muscles of the shoulder, upper arm, forearm and hand. Furthermore, the course of the larger nerves and arteries from the shoulder to the hand can be seen.

For example, the brachialis a., median nerve and ulnaris n. can be seen located in the medial bicipital sulcus, as well as the end of the brachialis a. in the anterior elbow region, where it divides into its two terminal branches (a. radialis and a. ulnaris).

Since the focus of the model is muscles in relation to larger vessels and nerves, the various joints are shown without detail. The joints are not movable either. The following parts can be disassembled so that deeper layers and relationships can be studied:

M. deltoid
M. biceps brachii
M. triceps brachii
M. palmaris longus together with m. flexor carpi radialis
M. brachioradialis together with m. extensor carpi radialis longus
Aponeurosis palmaris

Clinical features

Clinically, the model is ideal for understanding the location of the larger vessels and nerves in relation to muscles, which is basic knowledge for procedures such as palpation, injections and surgical interventions.

The model is also ideal for understanding muscle and tendon-related disorders, including muscle pain, muscle soreness, tendinitis such as biceps tendinitis and wrist tendinitis as well as tennis and golfer's elbow.

It is also ideal for understanding disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy.
