This heart model is slightly smaller than a natural heart and therefore requires less space. It is ideal for understanding the heart's relationship to the organ called the thymus.


Both the thymus and the anterior part of the heart model can be detached. The model is delivered on a stand and measures 20 x 12 x 12 cm.

Anatomical features

Anatomically speaking, the heart model shows the 4 chambers, the auricles, the heart's blood supply (arteries and veins), the 4 valves based on the sac valve and mitral valve system, the beginning of the blood vessels that carry blood to and from the heart and the structure of the heart (i.e. endo-, myo - and pericardium). The heart's impulse conduction system is not seen.



Furthermore, the thymus is seen, which consists of 2 lobes, which often have different sizes. On the back of the thymus is seen its arterial blood supply.

Clinical features

Clinically speaking, the model does not show anything pathological (disease-wise), but it can be used to shed light on many heart diseases such as valvular diseases, inflammation as well as atherosclerosis and blood clots.



The model is also ideal for elucidating diseases related to the thymus (e.g. tumors).
