Collection: Shoulder models

A shoulder model is also called a plastic shoulder. In our selection, you will find both shoulder models that only show bones and ligaments, as well as shoulder models that show the muscles of the shoulder.



Shoulder models, which only consist of bones and ligaments, show part of the humerus (upper arm bone), the shoulder blade (scapula) with, among other things, spina scapulae (shoulder ridge) and acromion (shoulder height) as well as the collarbone/clavicle (clavicle). Therefore, they also show the shoulder joint (articulatio humeri) and the acromioclavicular joint (AC joint). Wha. rubber shows the ligaments that belong to the 2 joints.


Shoulder models that also show muscles primarily show the 4 muscles of the rotator cuff (also called the rotator cuff). These muscles are called subscapularis, supraspinatus, infraspinatus and teres minor. On some of these models, the muscles can be removed. The selection also includes a special model of the shoulder, which shows associated bursae, the joint capsule (capsula articularis), ligaments and the long biceps tendon from m. biceps brachii.



Clinically speaking, shoulder models can be used to understand many disorders and injuries in the shoulder. It can be, for example, impingement syndrome, rotator cuff injury, biceps tendinitis, frozen shoulder, osteoarthritis (wear and tear) in the acromioclavicular joint and shoulder instability.
