Welcome to our selection of spine models. A model of the spine is also called columna, columnamodel, sprinklespine, back model or simply spine. The selection is large and varied - from very simple and educational models that only consist of 2 vertebrae to complete spines with spinal nerves, the brainstem, a bit of the skull and the pelvis incl. hip joint If you only need a stand for a spine model, that can also be found in the selection.

Among the complete models of the spine, there are big differences in terms of size (height), flexibility, lifelike expression, as well as the possibility of additional features such as spinal nerves, the brainstem, a herniated disc in the lower back and colored muscle indications. In general, the spines measure approximately 80 cm in height, but you will also find a mini model of the spine. Unfortunately, it can be confusing, but the mini-model of the spine is also known as a reduced model of the spine, mini-spine, mini-spine, small spine, mini-spine or mini-columna. It is only 40 cm high and therefore does not require much space. Furthermore, some see it as a big advantage that it is easier to transport.

Our shorter models include models of the cervical spine(s), neck joints, lower back, models with very few vertebrae and specific models for demonstrating a herniated disc and/spinal stenosis.

Clinically speaking, spine models are particularly useful for understanding concepts such as lordosis, kyphosis and the condition called scoliosis/scoliosis (curvature of the back). Depending on which model is used, it can also be used to understand disc herniation, root affection, spondylolisthesis (displaced joints), back pain, spondylosis, spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis (arthrosis).
