Collection: Pelvic models and the genitals

Anatomical pelvic models include both male and female pelvic anatomy. Bone pelvises are used, in addition to general anatomy teaching, in a wide range of special situations. Among other things. in birth preparation, a female bony pelvis is extremely relevant. Within teaching incontinence and pelvic floor rehabilitation, the more advanced pelvic models, with pelvic floor muscles, nerves, vessels and genitals, are particularly interesting. At eAnatomy you will find a wide range of models, all of which are good tools for teaching and understanding the anatomy of the pelvis.

Our range of pelvic models and genitalia is large and very varied. The individual models show either the man's or the woman's pelvis - also called the male pelvis and the female pelvis.

The pelvis itself consists of bones and is called the pelvic ring. It is composed of the hip bone (os coxae) and the sacrum (os sacrum) incl. the coccyx (us coccygis). Some of the models basically only show the pelvic ring. Other pelvic models also show other organs such as the genitals, the rectum and the urinary bladder. The more complete pelvic models focus on the genitals and related tissues/organs, where the pelvic ring is largely invisible.

Overall, the models show details such as the pelvic floor, sphincters, muscles such as m. levator ani (consisting of m. pubococcygeus and m. iliococcygeus), m. coccygeus, m. ischiocavernosus, m. bulbospongiosus, m. obturatorius internus, m. phincter ani externus and internus and lig. sacrotuberal and lig. sacrospinal.

Some of the models are particularly targeted at birth preparation, understanding incontinence and pelvic floor rehabilitation.

The range includes a special educational and enlarged model of the prostate (bladder neck gland), a gynecological training model (gynecological simulator) for inserting contraceptives incl. demonstration of IUI (intrauterine insemination) and 2 small models (miniature pelvic models) of each the male and female pelvis.
