Model of a tick (Ixodes ricinus) in the highest quality and greatly enlarged
This model is a greatly enlarged but accurate reproduction of a female wood tick ( Ixodes ricinus ).
The model was developed in collaboration with head of study Christian Gross. It is produced in
SOMSO plastic by the manufacturer SOMSO, which is world-renowned for very high quality. This means quality materials, a sense of accuracy and longevity.
In other words: World-class craftsmanship.
The model is greatly enlarged and measures 28 x 25 x 6 cm (L x W x H). It weighs approximately 200 grams and cannot be separated. As far as movement of e.g. the legs is concerned, it is not flexible. It comes on a removable stand, which is a green plate.
Anatomically, it shows the adult female tick with its 8 legs and other characteristics.
The model can, for example, be used in connection with problems such as Lyme disease and
TBE (the tick-borne encephalitis called Tick Borne Encephalitis or Central European encephalitis).
