The hip joint is made in natural size and is delivered on a stand with a Plexiglas foot.
Anatomical features
Anatomical features
Anatomically, the model shows the iliac bone, ischium, pubic bone and the femoral head with the femoral neck and part of the femur. Furthermore, the model shows the hip joint with the special "metal hip", where only the worn cartilage of the femoral head and hip socket have been removed, as well as very little of the surrounding bone.
Product flexibility
Product flexibility
In terms of movement, the whole thing can easily be lifted off the stand and the joint can be separated
(see the pictures on the left).
Clinical features

Clinically speaking, the model can be used, for example, to understand this special prosthetic technique and compare it with the traditional method called total hip alloplasty (THA).
