Knee models

Anatomical knee models usually include part of the femur bone, as well as part of the lower leg bones in connection with the meniscus and the surrounding ligaments. The anatomy of the knee is complex and for the same reason an anatomical knee model can make any teaching or study situation that deals with the anatomy of the knee significantly easier. A knee model (plastic knee) is seen in many general practitioners and in many hospitals. In our range you will find a wide variety of knee models.



You will primarily find relatively simple knee models with a focus on bones and ligaments. These models show, for example, the femur (thigh bone), patella (kneecap), fibula (calf bone) and tibia (shin bone). You can also see ligaments like, for example, corpses. collaterale tibiale (medial lateral ligaments), equal. collaterale fibulare (lateral side ligaments), equal. cruciatum posterius (posterior cruciate ligament), equal. cruciatum anterius (anterior cruciate ligament), equal. meniscofemorale posteriorius and a bit of the quadriceps tendon.



In the range you will also find a reduced knee model with a cross-section of the knee joint (articulatio genus), a knee model with meniscal lesions and a particularly flexible model with both ligaments and muscles, where the latter can be removed.



Clinically speaking, the knee model can for example be used to understand knee injuries and especially ligament injuries. These can be injuries/disorders such as meniscal lesions, mice, patellar luxation (slippage of the kneecap), patellar fractures, runner's knee as well as damage to the cruciate ligaments and lateral ligaments.
