Are you looking for a special foot model that can show both the entire skeleton of the foot as well as all its bones and joint surfaces from every conceivable angle? We present here the special model that can.

The foot model is made in natural size (approx. size 41) and is delivered without a stand. As something quite special, all the bones are held together via small, discreet magnets. Therefore, all the bones of the foot can be separated from each other.

Anatomical features

Anatomically speaking, the foot model shows a bit of the shin bone (tibia), a bit of the calf bone (fibula) and the entire foot (pedis) with its 26 bones. Therefore, the model only shows bones and joints.

The level of detail is high, although sesame bones are not included.

Product flexibility

In terms of movement, this model is not flexible. The bones are held together by small magnets, and especially in the outermost toe joints, the bones fall apart easily. Therefore, the model cannot be used to demonstrate full movements such as "inversion-eversion".

On the other hand, the model offers a rare flexibility that allows the bones to be seen from all angles. In this way, for example, it becomes possible to see the complex joint surfaces in the lower ankle joint (the subtalar joint under the talus/talon).

Literally, you can also throw all the bones out on a table and assemble the skeleton of the foot like a puzzle for educational purposes.

Clinical features

Clinically speaking, the model is ideal for understanding many types of ankle fractures, metatarsal fractures and toe fractures.

It is also ideal for understanding luxations (slip joints) and foot deformities such as flat feet, club feet, metatarsus varus, hallux valgus (big toe bunion), hallux rigidus and hammer toe.

The model can perhaps also be used to understand disorders such as osteoarthritis in the foot (arthrosis) and rheumatoid arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis).
