If you are looking for an extra robust skeleton on a robust stand in the low price range and in a natural size, this model is ideal.

Mounted on a stand, the plastic skeleton measures approx. 177 cm in height. It is cast in a particularly strong plastic material and is therefore suitable for frequent moving and rough handling in, for example, a classroom. The level of detail on the bones is really good, and virtually all joints are held together by metal buckles/metal, allowing limited ability to demonstrate the natural movements of the joints and complete disassembly (for example, one arm).

The robust frame is delivered on a metal stand, which at the bottom consists of a 5-branch column base with a corresponding number of wheels. Since the entire stand is reinforced, it is, like the skeleton, also suitable for frequent moving and rough handling.

A simple and transparent dust bag is also included. The skeleton is delivered largely assembled, and assembly takes just a few minutes.

Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the skeleton shows all the bones of the body (including the tongue bone and sesamoid bones). Cartilage in the chest and teeth in the upper and lower jaw are also included.

The skull can be quickly disassembled and divided into 3 (skull cap, mandible and the remaining part of the skull).

The level of detail on the bones is really good. The scope of "osseous landmarks" includes both large details such as the tuberculum majus and minus on the humerus (upper arm bone) as well as smaller details such as the linea aspera on the back of the femur (thigh bone).

The epiphyseal lines are also shown on the upper and lower extremities (arms and legs).

In relation to the fact that the skeleton model belongs to the low price range, many details can be seen in the bone tissue. However, the structure of the bone tissue does not appear as lifelike as the bone tissue on, for example, this skeleton in a higher price range.

In terms of movement, the model is not very flexible. As all joints are held together by metal clamps/metal, the range of motion is limited.

For example, rotation in the knee joints cannot be demonstrated, although both flexion and extension (bending and stretching) are possible.

Clinically speaking

Clinically speaking, the robust skeletal model is ideal for understanding many diseases, disorders and disorders in the skeleton.
