Our selection of hip models includes models that only show the bones and ligaments around the hip joint, as well as more complete hip models with more tissues.



The hip models that only show bones and ligaments are the most sold. The models show the ilium, ischium, pubic bone and the head of the femur with the neck of the femur and part of the femur. Wha. rubber, they also show the ligaments that belong to the hip joint. Some of the models are scaled down, and in terms of movement, some are more flexible than others. One of the models also shows hip osteoarthritis and hip fractures.



The hip models with more tissues also show muscles and possibly nerves, while 2 of the hip models can be used for understanding hip replacement. If a hip model shows muscles, muscles such as m. iliacus, m. psoas major, m. piriformis, m. gemellus superior, m. obturatorius internus and m. gemellus inferior are seen. If nerves are also seen, they include the sciatic nerve.



From a clinical point of view, a hip model can be used to understand, for example, hip fractures, joint slips, sprained hip, piriformis syndrome and osteoarthritis (wear-and-tear arthritis).
