ATTENTION! now delivered on a beautiful stand of lacquered and polished oak. The front of the heart is held in place via magnets and can therefore be removed. The different colors on the heart model symbolize the different tissues (fat, muscle, etc.), while smaller macroscopic structures are omitted.


There are no numbers on the model, but important anatomical structures are named on the accompanying chart.

Anatomical features

Anatomically, the model shows the heart's 4 chambers, the auricles, the heart's blood supply (arteries and veins), the 4 valves based on the sac valve and mitral valve system, the beginning of the blood vessels that carry blood to and from the heart, and a hint that the heart's structure consists of 3 different layers (endo-, myo- and pericardium). The heart's impulse conduction system is not seen.

Clinically speaking, this model does not show anything pathological (disease-wise), but the model shows several structures in which diseases such as heart valve disease, atherosclerosis, blood clots and inflammation can occur.
