The model is produced in natural size, weighs 8.6 kg and has the dimensions 87 x 38 x 25 cm (height x width x length). The model is delivered on a white stand.
Anatomically speaking
Anatomically speaking
Anatomically, the model shows the head, the entire torso, the shoulders and the beginning of the thighs. From the head and torso the following 12 parts can be taken (mentioned from the top down):
The head
The eye
The heart - can be separated into two parts so that the individual heart chambers and valves can be studied
The lungs - the front can be removed so that the inside of the lungs becomes visible
The stomach
The liver with the gall bladder
Intestinal system - part of the caecum (the first part of the large intestine) can be removed so that the structures at the ileocaecal site become visible.
The kidneys - the front can be removed so that the inside of the kidneys becomes visible
When the above is removed, the following is seen on the model (listed from top to bottom):
The neck with the larynx, thyroid gland and trachea as well as the large vascular bundle that passes on each side of the neck.
In the chest cavity, the division of the trachea into the main bronchi is seen. On the left lung, it is illustrated how the bronchial tree splits and A. pulmonalis and V. pulmonalis supply the lung tissue. It is also seen how the esophagus passes through the diaphragm on its way down into the abdominal cavity.
In the abdominal cavity, part of the musculature and the largest vessels can be seen. In addition, the kidneys are seen with the adrenal glands and the ureter, the spleen, the sigmoid colon and the urinary bladder.
At the top of the left thigh, the skin has been removed so that the trigonum femorale with A. femoralis and V. femoralis becomes visible. In relation to these, lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes are seen.
