The skeleton model with the most lifelike bones and highest material quality
The skeleton model with the most lifelike bones and highest material quality
This skeleton offers the most lifelike bone structure, the most accurate reproduction of the anatomical details and the feeling of touching real bones. It is produced in SOMSO plastic by the manufacturer SOMSO, which is world-renowned for very high quality.
The skeleton is used, among other things, in medical education in Denmark and in general as a replacement for real bones.
The plastic skeleton is cast after a young man, and mounted on a stand it measures approx. 180 cm in height and 55 cm in both width and depth. The weight is 11 kg. Virtually all joints are held together by metal clamps/metal, allowing limited ability to demonstrate the natural movements of the joints as well as the ability to completely dismount (for example, one arm).
The skeleton comes with a black stand, which can be easily moved, because at the bottom it consists of a 5-branched column base with a corresponding number of wheels.
Anatomical features
Anatomical features
Anatomically speaking, the skeleton shows all the bones of the body. Cartilage in the chest and teeth in the upper and lower jaw are also included.
The skull can be quickly disassembled and divided into 3 (skull cap, mandible and the remaining part of the skull).
Overall, the bone quality is extremely good, which is why, for example, knots and depressions in the bone tissue can be seen very clearly. This means that the scope of "osseous landmarks" also includes the smallest and most important details, such as the clear difference between the os lacrimal and os ethmoidal in the skull as well as the linea aspera with the medial and lateral lip on the back of the femur.
Compared to the other skeletons in our range, the bones feel more real. The authenticity is felt when you hold the bones and feel their weight at the same time.
Product flexibility
Product flexibility
In terms of movement, the skeleton model is not very flexible. As all joints are held together by metal clamps/metal, the range of motion is limited.
For example, rotation in the knee joints cannot be demonstrated, although both flexion and extension (bending and stretching) are possible.
Clinical features
Clinical features
Clinically speaking, this lifelike skeletal model is ideal for understanding many diseases, disorders and disorders in the skeleton.
