This collection of 24 very lifelike vertebrae shows the cervical, thoracic and lumbar vertebrae of the human spine. Each vortex can be easily identified via a numbering system.

The bones are cast in a patented material, which gives them a particularly realistic look. In the manufacturing process, it is also possible to reproduce the anatomical parts with great precision. Furthermore, the weight of the vertebrae is very realistic. They are supplied in a storage box with foam inserts and handles, where they are located in individual compartments. Overall, it weighs 3.4 kg and

measures 41 x 40 x 12 cm.

Anatomically speaking

Anatomically, the collection shows the 24 vertebrae from the cervical spine to the lower back (7 cervical vertebrae, 12 thoracic vertebrae and 5 lumbar vertebrae). Discs are not included.

Within the anatomy, these vertebrae are assigned a designation (C1-C7, T1-T12 and L1-L5). Each vortex can be easily and quickly identified because they are all labeled with their designation.

Overall, the bone quality is extremely good, which is why, for example, knots in the bone tissue can be seen very clearly. The scope of "osseous landmarks" also includes the smallest details such as processus accessorius (on e.g. L2), fovea dentis and sulcus a. vertebralis.
