Accurate reproduction of the apex, base, the 2 faces and 2 edges

Realistic representation of the deposition of coal dust in bands (due to the intercostal spaces)
The root of the lung (hilum) with the main bronchus, pulmonary artery, pulmonary veins, nerves, lymphatics and connective tissue around the structures

Clinically, the model can be used to understand disorders/diseases, although it is most suitable for studying and admiring the shape and surface of the lungs.
An example of disease is pneumothorax.
