Anthropological skull of Homo (sapiens) steinheimensis
Anthropological skull of Homo (sapiens) steinheimensis
ATTENTION! This item ships separately. The delivery time may vary.
This anthropological skull is cast from a reconstruction of the skull of a Homo (sapiens) steinheimensis human, believed to be from a 25-35 year old man who lived approximately 250,000 years ago.
The skull measures 19 x 12.5 x 21.5 cm cm and weighs approximately 1.14 kg. It comes on a stand showing a map of the area where the original skull was found.
Like other anthropological skulls, this skull is also produced from scientific copies of specimens from the collection of the "Institute of Anthropology and Human Genetics for Biologists" at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University, Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
It should be added that the original skull (of which this model is a cast) was found in a gravel pit near Steinheim an der Mur, Germany, 1933.
The model is aimed at those with special interests, can serve as a unique eye-catcher or be used to understand the anatomy of the skull of early Homo sapiens in Europe.
