If you are very dependent on your future bone set showing all anatomical details and therefore also the very small details such as sulcus mylohyoideus, sulcus a. subclavia as well as all holes and canals in the skull, this bone set is aimed at you.

It is produced in SOMSO plastic by the German manufacturer SOMSO, which is world-renowned for very high quality. This means quality materials, a sense of accuracy and longevity. In other words: World-class craftsmanship.

The bone set has for many years been used in anatomy teaching at the medical courses in Denmark as well as at other courses.

Very precise reproductions of anatomical partial waists can be seen on all the bones, which is crucial when the origin and attachment of the skeletal muscles has to be learned or rehearsed. Furthermore, the bones feel more real than our other bone sets. It is all delivered packed in plastic bags in a cardboard box, which overall weighs 5.5 kg and measures 31 x 50 x 26 cm.

NB: It is possible to buy a storage box with many compartments from the same manufacturer, so that the bones are stored in an organized and clear way.

Anatomical features

Anatomically speaking, the set of bones includes the bones that make up the human skeleton as well as the 32 teeth and rib cartilage. The cardboard box contains the following:

A skull where the skull cap ("the top") can be removed and the lower jaw bone ("the mandible") is held in place via a relatively long metal spring, which is attached via screws to the mandible and palatine bone. The mandible can be moved and easily removed

The vertebral column (columna vertebralis) separated into loose vertebrae and discs: 7 cervical vertebrae, 12 thoracic vertebrae, 5 lumbar vertebrae, sacrum in one piece, coccyx in 2 pieces and all ligament discs (disci) separately

Hyoid bone (os hyoideum), sternum (sternum) incl. cartilage and ribs from the right side

The collarbone (clavicle), shoulder blade (scapula), upper arm bone (humerus), elbow bone (ulna) and coil bone (radius) from the right side

Right hand (script) assembled via nylon. Therefore, the bones can be loosened from each other

The hip bone (os coxae), the thigh bone (femur), the kneecap (patella), the shin bone (tibia) and the calf bone (fibula) from the right side

Right foot (pedis) assembled via nylon. Therefore, the bones can be loosened from each other

NB: Paired bones (e.g. humerus and hip bone) are thus only represented as one bone in the set.

Overall, the bone quality is extremely good, which is why, for example, knots and depressions in the bone tissue can be seen very clearly. The scope of "osseous landmarks" also includes the smallest details.

The human skull contains many holes and channels containing vessels and nerves. Overall, there are connections between the braincase and the neck, to and from the eye socket, to and from the pterygo-palatine fossa and to and from the nasal cavity. On this skull, all the holes and canals are visible.

Compared to the other bone sets in our range, which are cheaper, the bones feel more real. The authenticity is felt when you hold the bones and feel the weight at the same time.
